Sun City Offers Money to Senior Center

It seems that in some places, there are communities that actually do care about their seniors. In Sun City, Arizona, the county officials have allocated $20,000 to be given to the Sun Health-Olive Branch Senior Center for hot meals, health, and other programs that they might not otherwise get. This money is a great sigh of relief to those that are looking out for these seniors because they are normally very underfunded.
Unfortunately, this sign of help to the senior center is not normal around the nation like one would hope and expect. Instead, senior citizens have to rely on their senior life insurance to hopefully pay for it. And, if they can't afford it, their children or grand children are stuck paying thousands of dollars to cover the costs. This funding by the Sun City officials definitely means that for a little while, seniors will get the health care they need to survive. A simple blood pressure test can mean the world for a senior who has high blood pressure.
If other counties around the nation follow the same funding plan as this county did, numerous other senior centers will have the funding that they need to ensure that the seniors get what they need.
